CONFIRMING STAGE ONE’S AUTHORIZATION REQUEST FOR YOUR  “MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT”

The CRA requires a two-step verification process to allow you to control who has access to your CRA My Business Account.

Once you have signed the CRA “Represent A Client Authorization Form” that Stage One has sent you we will file the Authorization Form on your account.  The next step is for you to approve our request.

There are two ways for you to approve it:

OPTION ONE

If you have a CRA “My Account” you can access the Business account by going to this link: MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT

This will take you to the Business account sign-in page.  Use the same login method as you do for your personal “My Account” and this will take you into your “Business Account.”

Once in the “My Business Account” please select the pending request to “Confirm or Deny Authorization” to your business account that we submitted online.

If the Authorization Request from Stage One has expired, you can:

  • Click on “Profile”

  • Scroll down to "Authorized Representatives"

  • Click on “Manage Authorized Representatives”

  • Select  “Authorize Representative”

  • add our GST number (88894 0921) to the account

  • Click “Next”

  • Select “Update and View (Level 2)”

  • Leave the expiry date blank

  • Scroll down and select “All Accounts”

  • Select “Next”

  • Tick “Confirmation”

  • Then select “Submit”

OPTION TWO

Call CRA  @ 1-800-959-5525

  • Choose Option 1 which is “Online Services”.  This will connect you to an agent.

  • The CRA agent will ask a series of questions to verify your identity, including

    • your Business Number (XXXXX XXXX),

    • business name (XXXXXXXXXX)

    • your business address.

  • Once you have been verified, you tell them you want to approve the authorization request submitted by Stage One
